When pilots and aircraft owners ask me how to sell their plane, the conversation usually goes the same way. They are not sure who to trust, they do not want to deal with tire kickers, and they definitely do not want to pay a listing fee upfront with no guarantee of a result. I get it. I have been on both sides of these transactions for over 25 years.
Starting today, Tyson Aviation is formally offering aircraft brokerage and consignment services to sellers across the United States — and we have built it around the model that actually makes sense for the seller.
How It Works
It is straightforward. You submit your aircraft details using our Sell Your Aircraft form. We add your listing to tysonfly.com and market it to our active buyer network at no cost to you. When we introduce the qualified buyer who closes on your aircraft, we earn 2.5% of the sale price at closing. That is it.
No upfront fees. No exclusivity requirement. No lock-in. If your aircraft sells through another channel, you owe us nothing. You can cancel the arrangement with 7 days notice at any time.
Why We Built It This Way
Because that is how I would want to be treated as a seller. The aviation brokerage world is full of firms that charge listing fees, demand exclusivity, and then do minimal marketing. We are not that.
We are a working brokerage with an active buyer network, a presence at Sun 'n Fun and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and a website that ranks for the aircraft categories our buyers are searching. When your aircraft is listed here, it is being actively marketed — not just sitting in a database.
All Aircraft Types Welcome
Our roots are in Light Sport and MOSAIC aircraft, but we work with all categories — certified singles, twins, experimentals, turboprops, and everything in between. If it has an N-number and is airworthy, we can help you sell it.
Get Started
Visit tysonfly.com/sell-your-aircraft to submit your aircraft. The form takes about two minutes. We will follow up within one business day to confirm your listing details and discuss next steps.
