Built for the Future of Light Sport Aviation

Evektor has been producing all-metal light sport aircraft since 2004, and the Harmony platform has accumulated over 50,000 training hours worldwide at more than 100 U.S. flight schools. The Harmony NG is not a minor refresh, it's a ground-up redesign built to leverage the FAA's new MOSAIC regulations, delivering significantly higher useful load, new engine options, and meaningful airframe improvements while preserving everything pilots already love about the Harmony.

As an authorized Evektor dealer, I work with flight schools and private buyers to spec, order, and deliver new Harmony NG aircraft. You'll get a straight pilot-to-pilot conversation about whether this airplane fits your mission.

What's New in the NG

Improved in Every Way That Matters

+125 lb Useful Load

MOSAIC's higher gross weight allowance means real-world utility. Total useful load climbs to 675 lb vs. 550 lb on the original Harmony LSA. Carry more fuel, more gear, or larger occupants with confidence.

Constant-Speed Propeller Option

An in-flight adjustable constant-speed prop is now available, unlocking stronger climb, higher cruise speeds, and better fuel efficiency. Getting the full potential out of the Rotax engine at every phase of flight.

Redesigned Exhaust & Cowlings

A completely reengineered exhaust system and new cowlings improve reliability, durability, engine cooling, and aerodynamic efficiency, reducing operating temperatures and enhancing overall performance.

No More Vortex Generators

Improved aerodynamics eliminating the need for vortex generators entirely. Simpler maintenance, faster annuals, lower operating costs, and the same excellent low-speed handling the Harmony is known for.

Angle of Attack Indicator

An optional AoA indicator provides real-time lift feedback, supporting better energy management, improved stall awareness, and a tangible safety benefit particularly valuable in training environments.

Garmin or Dynon Avionics

Choose between Garmin G3X or Dynon SkyView suites with VFR and IFR packages. The legendary 46-inch-wide cabin, 4" wider than a Piper Archer, 6" wider than a Cessna 172, it remains one of the widest in class.

What Is MOSAIC — and Why It Matters

The FAA's MOSAIC (Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification) rule is the most significant change to light aviation regulations in decades. It raises the maximum gross weight for light sport aircraft, expands the pilot population that can fly them, and opens the door to more airspace and operational capabilities.

Evektor engineered the Harmony NG specifically to leverage MOSAIC, delivering more payload, more utility, and more flexibility right from delivery. It's not a paper compliance exercise; it's an airplane designed from the start to take full advantage of what MOSAIC allows.

From the Flight Schools Using Them Daily

Trusted Across the U.S. Training Community

More than 100 Harmony aircraft are in daily operation at leading U.S. academies. Here's what operators say after years of real-world use.

The cockpit is remarkably spacious, 4 inches wider than a Piper Archer and 6 inches wider than a Cessna 172. Its wing design and solid push/pull rod controls deliver precise, instant feedback. The operating costs are less than half of legacy models thanks to the efficient Rotax 912 engine.

John Mauch

CEO, FlyBright Pilot Academy — Gold Seal CFI/CFII/MEI, 3,500+ dual hours given in the Evektor

The fuel efficiency alone has been remarkable, we're seeing 30–40% savings compared to our legacy trainers. The Harmony gave us the reliability and capacity to scale our operations. Our expansion simply wouldn't have been possible without these aircraft.

Josiah Bridges

STL Flight Training

We started with 2 Evektors and after a successful test period expanded to 6 in our fleet, and are looking to grow further. Our partnership with Alion Aviation has proven to be a great match, as we share the sense of urgency for our customers.

Francisco Camargo

AtheneAir

The Evektor Harmony has exceeded our expectations as a cost-effective and versatile training platform. We've already graduated Private Pilot, Instrument, and Commercial students in the platform, and it has become our go-to primary trainer.

Common Questions

Harmony NG FAQ

Is the Harmony NG compliant with MOSAIC rules?

Yes. The Harmony NG was engineered specifically to meet and leverage the new MOSAIC standards, delivering higher gross weight, increased useful load, and expanded capabilities right from delivery.

What does it cost to operate per flight hour?

Operators typically report $45–55 per flight hour including fuel and routine maintenance, roughly 30–40% less than legacy trainers like the Cessna 172 or Piper PA-28.

What avionics options are available?

Garmin G3X or Dynon SkyView suites, with VFR and IFR packages. Fleet buyers can standardize panel layouts across all aircraft for consistent student transitions and simplified instructor workflow.

Can it be used for instrument training?

Yes. With the IFR certified avionics package, including the Garmin GNX375 and GNC255, the Harmony NG can be used for instrument training and currency.

What are the engine options?

Three Rotax options: the 912 ULS (100 HP), the 912 iS Sport fuel-injected (100 HP), and the 915 iS (141 HP) for maximum performance. Fixed-pitch and constant-speed prop configurations are both available.

How does it compare to certified trainers?

The Harmony's 46-inch cabin is 4 inches wider than a Piper Archer and 6 inches wider than a Cessna 172. Operating costs are a fraction of certified trainers, while the Garmin glass panel and autopilot make it a technically advanced aircraft for training purposes.
